Our Family History and Genealogy

I am Krishnamachari born on 1932 at Therani Village some 25 miles from Trichy. I have moved from Therani Village to Villupuram for education and then on to Madras and finally to Ahmedabad Gujarat State in 1955 and made Ahmedabad my home.

Vasantha and I have migrated to US in August 2000 to be with our daughter Lakshmi. Sometime in early snowy spring 2004 I was just musing my memories about our family and our missing life in India. Although I had particularly good memories of my early childhood, I just discovered that I knew little about ancestors and extended families.

During the Chennai family meet in July 2014, our grandchildren were amazed that they are part of large family and they were eager to know more about the family connections.

This led me to create our own genealogy to build our roots and connections.

For me from then on, it has been a labor of love to create our genealogy and Kasthurirangan has been a invaluable help in creating this website NAMKUDUMBAM.NET.

Today our family members are spread over not only across India but around the globe. My aim is to provide a platform for members get connected with each other irrespective where they are located.

This Family site will be the central archive library to store all media and records of members and their families.Such a library will bring immense joy for young members to relive and reconnect with each other over the years.
